Regarding the topic of improving your English language skills, I strongly agree to this statement. This is because there is a lot of room for improvement in writing English such as improving your writing skills, vocabulary and summary writing.
Firstly, there is an array of methods to improve your vocabulary. For instance, you can go to the nearest National Library and borrow some books that make use of many vocabulary words and read them. As many books fall under this category, you also get the choice to choose books with a storyline that you like. Over time, your vocabulary knowledge will increase and you will find yourself using more of these words in your compositions.
Secondly, you can improve your summary writing skills by picking extracts from your favourite book and then try to rewrite that extract using as little words as possible. After many practices, you will eventually find that some words carry little meaning in almost all summaries and can be omitted most of the time. An example of such as word is the word "the". Also, many long phrases can be replaced by one or two of your own words. In this case, your vocabulary knowledge will then come in handy.
Lastly, I would like to emphasize my point of view that you can improve your English skills if you put in enough effort. To those of you that find this goal hard to achieve, my advice to you is to start reading more. Over time, you will develop an interest to English and from there, you will start to be interested in the subject and thus, this will significantly improve your language skills.
